Khankhuuluu is a tyrannosauroid from Mongolia, named from Mongolian words meaning roughly "prince dragon". The name was chosen because it is an early, relatively small relative of the giant tyrannosaurids, like a "prince" before the "kings" such as Tyrannosaurus. The type species is Khankhuuluu mongoliensis.
