Cheneosaurus was once thought to be a small, primitive hadrosaurid. Later work (e.g. Evans et al. 2007) concluded that the known specimens are probably juveniles of the lambeosaurine Hypacrosaurus altispinus, so the name is now generally treated as a junior synonym. The pronunciation and exact stage are best checked against a specialist source.
