Cerasinops is a small, early horned dinosaur (a leptoceratopsid ceratopsian). Its name is generally given as meaning "horned face", built from Greek roots for "horn" and "face". The only species is Cerasinops hodgskissi, named after the Hodgskiss family, on whose land the fossils were found.

A valid genus of small, bipedal or facultatively bipedal horned dinosaur. The exact derivation of the "cerasi-" element is not fully certain to me, so the etymology is given with moderate confidence.
