tyrant titan

- titan · Greek · giant (the Titans of Greek myth)
The name combines the Greek "tyrannos" (tyrant) with "Titan", the giant gods of Greek mythology. It was chosen to convey a huge, tyrannical predator. Tyrannotitan was a large carnosaur, a carcharodontosaurid theropod, from Patagonia. It is not a close relative of tyrannosaurids.
