Moros
MOR-os /ˈmɔːrɒs/
Accepted genus
harbinger of doom (impending doom)
- Moros · Greek · impending doom (personified spirit of doom)
Moros comes from the Greek name of the personification of impending doom. The name was chosen to suggest the doom that tyrannosaurs would later bring to other animals as they rose to dominance. The species name intrepidus is Latin for "intrepid", referring to the hardiness this small tyrannosauroid needed to survive in a harsh Cretaceous North America.
