A small stegosaur known from fairly complete but incomplete remains. The exact stage of the Shaximiao Formation is debated, so the Oxfordian date is approximate. The spelling has no 'o' between 'gigant' and 'spinosaurus'. It is not closely related to Spinosaurus, which is a theropod.
