A titanosauriform sauropod, the official state dinosaur of Texas. Some later researchers (e.g. Taylor 2010) have argued it is the same animal as Astrodon, which would make Paluxysaurus a junior synonym. This is not universally accepted, so it is listed here as accepted with that caveat. The exact stage range is approximate.
