A small early saurischian dinosaur known from a partial skeleton. It was originally described as a basal member of the Herrerasauria. Its exact position is debated; some analyses place it outside Herrerasauridae or as an early theropod-line saurischian. The spider link in the etymology is less certain than the literal meaning.
