Kangnasaurus
KANG-nah-SORE-us /ˌkæŋnəˈsɔːrəs/
Nomen dubium
Kangnas lizard
- Kangnas · Place name (Afrikaans/Khoekhoe origin) · Kangnas, the farm in Northern Cape, South Africa where the fossils were found
- sauros · Greek · lizard
The name combines Kangnas, the locality (a farm in the Northern Cape region of South Africa) where the remains were found, with the Greek "sauros" meaning "lizard". The type species, K. coetzeei, honours the person associated with the discovery of the fossils. The genus is based on very scanty material, mainly a tooth and a few postcranial fragments.

- Kangnas, Northern Cape, South Africa
Generally regarded as a nomen dubium because the material is too fragmentary to diagnose. It is usually considered a basal ornithopod/iguanodontian of uncertain affinities. The age of the fossils is uncertain, so period and stages are left blank.
