intruder
- pareisaktos · Greek · intruder, one who slips in uninvited
The name comes from the Greek "pareisaktos", meaning "intruder". It refers to this sauropod being an unexpected, seemingly out-of-place member of the latest Cretaceous fauna of Europe, where it appears as a relatively primitive, archaic-looking sauropod. The type species is Pareisactus evrostos.

A sauropod known from limited remains (mainly a shoulder blade and some other bones). I'm not certain of the exact authorship or year, so those fields are left out or approximate; the etymology wording is reconstructed from the Greek root and should be checked against the original description.
