Niebla
nee-EB-lah /niˈɛblə/
Accepted genus
fog or mist
- niebla · Spanish · fog, mist
Niebla is the Spanish word for "fog" or "mist". The name was given to a small abelisauroid theropod from southern Chilean Patagonia; the type species is Niebla antiqua. I am not certain of the exact reason the authors chose this word.

A theropod usually classified as a noasaurid (abelisauroid). Details such as the stage and the reason for the name are from memory and should be checked against the original description. The name Niebla is also used for a lichen genus, but that is a separate name under a different code.
