Cedrorestes
sed-roh-RES-teez /ˌsɛdroʊˈrɛstiːz/
Nomen dubium
Cedar Mountain dweller
- Cedro- · English/Latinised · Cedar (from the Cedar Mountain Formation)
- orestes · Greek · mountain-dweller
The name appears to combine a reference to the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah, where the fossils were found, with the Greek "orestes", meaning "mountain-dweller". It is therefore usually read as "Cedar Mountain dweller".

- Early Cretaceous

- Cedar Mountain Formation, Utah, USA
Cedrorestes is, as far as I recall, a poorly known iguanodontian (ornithopod) from the Cedar Mountain Formation, and is generally regarded as a doubtful name (nomen dubium) because the material is fragmentary. I am not certain of the author, year or exact stage, so I have left those fields blank. The etymology is my best reading of the name's roots, so please check it against the original description.
