Brohisaurus
BRO-hee-SORE-us /ˌbroʊhiˈsɔːrəs/
Nomen dubium
Brohi lizard
- Brohi · Urdu/regional · referring to the Brohi people or the Brohi region of Balochistan, Pakistan
- saurus · Greek · lizard
The name combines "Brohi," a reference to the Brahui (also spelled Brohi) people and region of Balochistan in Pakistan, where the fossil was discovered, with the Greek word "sauros" meaning lizard. It was named to honour the local cultural and geographic heritage of the discovery site. The Brahui are an indigenous ethnic group of the region, and the name celebrates their connection to the land where this ancient animal once lived.

Brohisaurus kirthari is the type and only species. It is a sauropod dinosaur from the Datta Formation of Pakistan, one of the few dinosaurs described from that country. It is generally regarded as a nomen dubium due to the fragmentary nature of the material (isolated vertebrae and limb elements), making it difficult to diagnose with confidence. Named by M. Sadiq Malkani in 2003.
